Eco Wool is guaranteed completely pesticide-free and no chemicals have been used whatsoever in the rearing of the lambs. A strong environmental ethic is implemented in the making of these blankets, with the provenance of the lambswool used traced back to the individual farmer meaning they can ensure the finest quality, whilst caring for the sheep and the planet.
Care: Wool has excellent natural dirt-resistant properties which makes it unnecessary to wash often. The wool cleans itself and repels dirt with its naturally-occurring oil (lanolin). A tip: let your blanket air outside in humid weather. If your blanket still needs maintenance, please follow the instructions below:
Cool hand wash with wool or gentle detergent.
Do not tumble dry or use bleach
As a brand, Klippan place sustainability and animal welfare at the core of their ethos. They have decreased the energy it takes to make a throw by more than 50% in the past 5 years, all their plastic packaging is bio-degradable. All the farms they work with meet the strictest of rules around animal welfare, none of them practice mulesing, the wool is only ever gently washed with NPEO free 6-mole detergents and no bleach is ever added.
Designed and produced by a family-run business established in Sweden in 1879 that combines the best of Swedish design with a profound knowledge of textiles and materials. In order to manage the production and fully control the quality - all their blankets and throws are made from start to finish in their own factory. Ensuring high quality and at the same time environmentally friendly practices.
A strong environmental ethic is implemented in the manufacture of these soft blankets - which allows the makers to trace the provenance of all the lambswool throws and blankets back to the individual New Zealand sheep farmers.
