Beautiful hand-carved wooden spreading knife. A rustic treat for any tabletop, for individual place settings or a few scattered on a platter for people to help themselves. We use ours with all our favourite jams and pickles, but they are great butter spreaders too!

Each knife is slightly different, making your piece unique. We love the patterns and grains in these pieces, any unusual markings or imperfections simply add to their beauty.
Care: already finished with linseed oil which is food safe, reapply regularly to keep the wood supple and long-lasting.
Handcrafted by Green woodworker Amy Leake - 'What continues to pull me in is the love of using and enjoying handmade items in my everyday life, the simple pleasures of using a hand-thrown mug, a turned wooden bowl and a handmade wooden spoon for my breakfast every morning makes my heart sing. These objects transmit the energy and care the maker put into them, and I feel a connection to the people who made them'.
The wood Amy uses is sustainably sourced from local tree surgeons Sussex or coppiced woodland and is all worked with hand tools. The scoops aren't sanded, instead, they are finished with the skilled use of super sharp knives which leave a smooth yet faceted surface showing the final cuts.
