Gorse Hand Blocked Print

    Beautiful botanical print featuring wild coastal gorse, hand-burnished with ink onto Japanese Washi Paper. Gorse is a plant of extremes, from its thorniness to delicate coconut-scented flowers, a valuable plant for wildlife, providing dense thorny cover ideal for protecting bird nests in Britain and Ireland, we are surrounded by it in abundance in our coastal home.

    Each print block is cut by hand and hand printed onto a 50gr handmade Japanese washi paper from Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan, where they have been making washi papers for eight generations.
