The CBD in their products is organic cold pressed hemp (finola variety) and the oils from this are packed full of nutritive polyunsaturated fatty acids / omega 3 & 6 with anti-oxidant polyphenolic compounds. Margent’s farmhouse, designed by Practice Architecture is principally made of hempcrete processed from their first year’s fibre crop. Alongside it an all purpose studio, supervised by our architect Paloma Gormley and constructed as part of Cass Arts graduation program was made with the same hemp materials. Both buildings exterior walls are clad with Margent’s corrugated hemp fibre rain sheets. The soft fibres are thermal compressed using a farm waste resin. All the buildings are powered by a sustainable biomass boiler, domestic wind turbine and  a subtle array of solar panels.
