Designed in Surrey and woven at a Yorkshire mill, the soft 100% merino lambswool will keep your neck cosy and wintry winds at bay.
After graduating from West Surrey College of Art and Design with a degree in woven textiles, Sarah Tyssen worked as a designer in Herefordshire and gained her invaluable insight into the processes involved in commission weaving. Sarah now creates her designs on a George Wood dobby loom in her workshop, one of his last ones, (he was 81 when he made it for her). Using an opulent colour palette of dyed Merino lambswool yarns, she produces her original designs and works closely with a Yorkshire mill, to manufacture very small numbers of her limited edition scarves and stunning blankets.
Most of the woollen yarns used are sourced and dyed in the UK, however, Merino sheep produce softer fleeces in a warmer climate - so the Merino lambswool is from Australia and dyed in the UK.
