The essence of Nigeria/Made in London, Oré mi candles are hand-poured into re-usable amber jars, light yours to evoke feelings of calmness and positivity.
Oré mi Candles is an independent Candle company from London, owned and operated by Karen Olla and Stephen Turner. Since its founding in 2019, Oré mi Candles has grown from a hobby to a full-time passion.
Founder, Karen, struggled with anxiety throughout her educational and work career but found that with the lighting of a scented candle, the ceremony surrounding it and the transformation the smell can bring evoked calmness and positivity.
Karen decided to make candles for others that would bring feelings of soothing mental relief, much like talking over your worries with a friend. Calling the brand Oré mi, which means 'My Friend' in Yoruba. Fusing a Nigerian heritage and upbringing in London, Karen launched Oré mi with signature scents that remind her of Nigeria and it's beautiful natural resources and fond moments from her life growing up in London.
All candles are paraffin, petroleum, and palm free and Vegan-friendly. Never contain synthetic fragrances, dyes, additives or fixatives, and are never tested on animals, only willing people!
