Each hand carved vase is beautifully unique and there are subtle variations in the stone patination and shape. Includes glass vial insert so this pebble vase can be used for dried flower arrangements and fresh-cut buds and stems.
Care: Soapstone is a delicate stone and for indoor use. The polished stone surface is protected by a pure wax polish, buffed to a soft sheen. The only maintenance required may be the occasional dust and further down the line, if desired - a repolish with a pure wax furniture polish. Apply with a soft cloth and gently rub to a shine. Only use fresh stems and water in glass vial supplied - rinse glass vial separately.
DO NOT use water directly in the vase as water can soak into the stone which may leave marks on furniture. Use glass vial for live stems.
Jennifer is a sculptor working in stone, carefully selecting blocks of sandstone and marble to take back to her studio to carve.
A primary inspiration for her sculpture is the wildlife surrounding her workshop, which nestles at the southern tip of the North York Moors National Park. Jennifer's sculpture creates a contemporary feel from traditional materials, following clean, simple lines and smooth, curvaceous surfaces.
