With us both being avid photographers who carry our cameras daily, we feel this is perfect for people of all different photography styles, who demand a bag that is simple, functional, durable and beautiful in design.
Oak bark tannage is a long, gentle process that protects the natural fibres of the hide unlike modern tanning methods. This leather comes from the last remaining Oak Bark tannery in the UK who choose the best local hides and treat them in a sustainable process using natural products, leaving the character in the hides, making no two pieces the same. It takes 14 months to produce each piece of leather. The result is leather that is unrivalled; hardwearing, strong and with a distinctive colours. We believe the quality and luxury of our leather is testimony to the unique tanning methods and the skilled craftsmanship with which every piece of leather is treated.
When this leather is new and fresh it can have white patches on it known as bloom. Don't fret is just some of the waxes that are used to treat the leather coming to the surface. With a little buffing the white patches will disappear (partly wiped off the surface, and partly working it back into the leather), and the idea of the felt square attached to the leather tag is for buffing if needed. With some reasonably gentle circular motions, it works a treat!
