  • How will copper affect my skin? The jewellery is untreated and unsealed to further the positive effects that copper can have on the body. The copper brightens with each wear thanks to the body's natural oils. Copper reacts differently to every body's chemistry. If you find that wearing the jewellery turns you green, it is a sign that you have an acidic pH. Science suggests the following ways to combat a high acidic pH: increase water intake (extra points with squeezed lemon!), increase dark fruit and veggie intake, and decrease processed starches and sugars.

Any greening washes off easily with soap and water. You can seal the rings with jewelers wax/lacquer or even clear nail polish if you wish.

Living in California for nearly 5 years working in metal fabrication and blacksmithing. Leaving California in 2012, driving her cat and belongings to Martha’s Vineyard to waitress during the tourist-filled summer season, she met the love of her life. She has rarely left the island and his side since.

Making Jewellery emerged as a creative outlet for Jessica to channel all of her artistic musings in the slow, cold winter months on the island. Her inspirations come from nature and science and her work reflects this.
